In introducing our reading story this week, we began our lesson by reading a great non-fiction book about pumpkins : Pumpkin Circle by George Levenson. Very poetic and informative. Lots of information and great pictures too!
Then, we tasted pumpkin seeds! Yuuummmm! Then, we did a little pumpkin pre-write and the class completed an individual response sheet that went along with it...
Then it was time to graph whether or not we liked the taste of our pumpkin seeds...
Next, the kiddos completed individual graphs, colored in a little pumpkin seed packet, and wrote about their pumpkin seed experience...
