Today we talked all about what life was life aboard the Mayflower. We started by reading a nonfiction book about the Mayflower.
During our "stop to jot" time, the kids gave me a few facts they learned from our chapter. We learned a lot of really cool facts!
My poor Mayflower never got a sail =(
After brainstorming, the kids chose 3 facts to write about in their Mayflower Books. These came out DARLING!
We compiled all their facts and other information into a little book. I also surveyed the class on whether or not they would have liked to travel on the Mayflower. Not suprisingly, most said no! The kids graphed their classmates responses and wrote about the data as well.
