BULA BULA BULA BULA!!

No one really knows what "Bula" means, but I can tell you.. it's SO much fun to hear at a football game! This year, we play the Catholic High Bears. The theme of this game is "Bula the Bears". To encourage the students to attend the game, all of elementary piled in the bleachers as the Steppers and a few band members taught them how to properly "Bula". Be sure to attend a football game this year and let your child teach you how it's done!

Mystery Reader

Landon's grandmother was our very first Mystery Reader!! The class loved hearing the clues as to who was coming, and trying to guess who it was! She read us "Bad Kitty". The class LOVED being read to!!

PBS FOOTBALL!

We finally were able to meet our football players! They visit every Friday that we have a home game. This year we got really lucky, and we even have a cheerleader and a Silver Stepper that comes to visit! The students had some great questions for them to answer! They were even kind enough to sign their autographs! =)

We learned all about the 5 parts of a friendly letter: Heading, Greeting, Body, Closing, and Signature. We also learned a really neat cheer to help us remember the different parts! Here's a look at one of the Letter Ladies we made in class!

Why Writer's Write

We have been talking LOTS about writing in class! We just finished up a unit on how to write a friendly letter. Here are some of the reason's we talked about on "Why Writer's Write". I LOVE to see the progress my kids make in their writing throughout the year... it's remarkable!!

Intellectual Art- Sequencing

We ended our unit on Sequence of Events by doing some Intellectual Art. In this unit, we learned that "There is an order to how things happen, but not everything that happens is important." The students did a fabulous job on this artwork!
