Christmas Down Under

We are learning all about Christmas in Australia! Did you know that Australia is both a country and a continent? Australia is located in the Southern Hemisphere of the Earth. Summer occurs during December, January, and February. So, people in Australia get to celebrate Christmas by hanging out at the beach!

We made Australian ornaments like kangaroos, crocodiles, aboriginal artwork, and boomerangs to decorate our class tree. Thanks to all of the second grade Room Moms who helped us make the ornaments and decorate the trees!
