Mystery Reader !

Piper's dad, Mr. Mark, was our first mystery reader this year! He read Mom and Dad are Palindromes. It was fun coming up with words that can be spelled the same way when it's written backwards! What a great book!

Henry and Mudge Under the Yellow Moon

This week we read Henry and Mudge Under the Yellow Moon. It was about a boy and his dog who love to spend time together! We celebrated the end of our story by enjoying a "yellow moon" pie! They were delicious!

Using technology!

We practiced learning all about nouns while using our ActivBoard in class! It makes learning much more fun!

Grow Beast, Grow!

This week in science we were put into groups and given a pet alligator! At first, he was very tiny, but when we put him in water, he grew bigger each day! Every afternoon, we would check his length in centimeters and inches, and measure his mass and weight. At the end of the week, we will find out if the water he was living in increases, decreases, or stays the same! It's so much fun to watch them grow!

Partner Reading

We read Asha in the Attic with partners today. Partner reading gives us a chance to help each other become better readers. After we were done, we got to ask our partners some questions about the story. It's fun to read with a friend!
